THE MUD CAT™ MC-2000 MODEL DREDGE
THE AUGER DREDGE FOR THE 21^ST CENTURY

June 1, 1999 – After extensive research and development, Ellicott® International’s Mud Cat Division has launched the MC-2000 model auger dredge. This new model dredge will set the standard for high performance among all horizontal auger dredges. It combines Ellicott®’s reputation for durability and reliability with Mud Cat portability and output. It will excel in both environmental and general contracting applications.

The MC-2000’s principal features include:

	Submerged pump for 8" (200 mm) or 10" (250 mm) discharge pipelines.
	Choice of recessed impeller or 3-vane closed impeller, for optimal output in any material. 20 ft (6.1 m) maximum digging depth.
	Unique ladder design with single hydraulic cylinder lift.
	Automatic shroud for turbidity control.
	Forward and reverse digging. 22,000 lb. auger torque, and 24" (610mm) diameter auger – largest in industry.

All this performance in a dredge sized to fit on a single truck, in a non-permit legal load. Suitability of the hydroelectric controls for automation.

Initial applications have included:

	The clean-up of a pond on a U.S. Army base where the MC-2000 produced 2500 GPM of slurry with over 30% solids content, surpassing the customer's expectations.
	A leading Swedish contractor, Milman, will use an MC-2000 for remediation of pulp and paper mill lagoons. This contractor concluded that there was no better machine anywhere in the world for environmental dredging.
	Beach improvement for a new resort in the Caribbean.
	Channel maintenance at Ocean City, MD where the production rate exceeded by 30% the output from a comparable size dredge.

NEW AUTOMATED SWINGING LADDER DREDGE

Ellicott® also announces the sale of two 12" swinging ladder "Coal Miner™" dredges for Carbontronics LLC. Carbontronics is a leading reprocessor of coal fines into synthetic fuel. The dredges will be fully automated for ladder swing and positioning to achieve consistent slurry density. They will also have an innovative travelling spud system in which all three spuds travel. Delivery is scheduled for summer 1999.
