We are currently seeking an experienced, skilled CNC/Lathe Machinist to join our growing team! In this position, you will be responsible for operating tools and machines to manufacture parts to technical drawing specifications.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in work area in compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations
  • Sets up and runs various manual and CNC Mills and Lathes
  • Operates simple machine tools such as presses, saws, and shears
  • Operates machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimension and specifications for parts
  • Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material to be used on machines
  • Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects using basic inspection techniques such as calipers, micrometers, indicators etc.
  • Ensures units conform with predetermined specification and adjust machine controls to resolve production errors
  • Inspects machinery for any needed repairs and performs minor repairs within expertise
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Skill Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeship required
  • Vocational/technical school training and apprenticeship preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans
  • Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining
  • Excellent mechanical skills, management skills, and organizational skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail

Skill Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and bending required
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
