Series 1270 Dragon® Dredge
The Series 1270 Dragon® Dredge is a versatile 18-inch (450 mm) cutter suction dredge that delivers high production rates in the industry’s most robust yet compact, portable design. A defining feature of this dredge model is its dual-engine configuration, which utilizes a dedicated main engine for the dredge pump and a separate auxiliary engine for the dredge’s hydraulic system. This separation of power ensures that the dredge pump maintains optimal performance even when the cutter is under heavy load. Capable of reaching dredging depths of up to 50 feet (15 meters), the vessel is engineered for rapid deployment and can be easily transported by truck to inland or coastal locations.
This dredge is frequently selected for medium-scale navigation projects, such as deepening ports, harbors, and rivers to accommodate larger vessels. Its powerful pumping distance and deep digging capability also make it a preferred choice for coastal restoration projects, including beach nourishment, and land reclamation.
