Series 3870 Super Dragon™ Dredge
The Series 3870 Super Dragon™ is a high-capacity, 26-inch (650 mm) cutter suction dredge engineered to combine transportable modularity with heavy-duty performance. Designed with an extra-wide reinforced catamaran hull and ample freeboard, it delivers stability, power, and high-volume production with a ladder mounted pump. Built for 24/7 continuous duty in tough open-water and coastal environments, the Series 3870 excels in major capital projects—such as shipping channel deepening, port expansions, land reclamation, and large-scale capital projects.

Key Features
- Deep-Digging: Digs up to 59 feet (18 meters) deep standard, using an underwater ladder pump with a pivoting gearbox to maintain high efficiency and maximum production at depth.
- Heavy-Duty Excavation: Powered by a 600 HP (446 kW) direct-drive hydraulic cutter drive to break through compacted clay, hardpan, gravel, and consolidated soils.
- Advanced Hull & Spud Systems: Incorporates an extra-wide catamaran hull, a 4-meter traveling spud carriage, and positive-control tilting spuds for low-clearance bridge navigation and shallow-water operation.
- Workboat-Free Anchor Booms: Standard integrated anchor booms allow the operator to advance swing anchors without requiring an auxiliary workboat.
- One-Man Operation: Centralized, ergonomic control room equipped with high-efficiency load-sensing hydraulic pumps and digital monitoring systems to increase crew efficiency and reduce fuel usage.
